UNITE
STUDENTS
As Unite expanded rapidly, acquiring new properties across the UK, it presented a unique opportunity to reframe how student living is seen and felt. Rather than the typical “staged estate agent” imagery, the brief was to capture real life, honest, lived-in moments that communicate what it truly feels like to belong in these spaces. Working across cities including Edinburgh and Leeds, we created photography that brings personality, warmth and authenticity to a growing portfolio of student homes.

CHALLENGEAs Unite rapidly expanded, acquiring a large number of new properties across the UK, they faced a new challenge: how to present this growing portfolio in a way that felt cohesive, human and true to student life. Rather than relying on generic property imagery, Unite wanted photography that reflected the reality of living in these spaces.
They brought us in to photograph the new properties, with the task of creating work that felt authentic and relatable – capturing not just buildings, but the everyday experiences, connections and independence that come with student living. The imagery needed to work consistently across multiple locations, while still allowing each place to feel real and lived in.
SOLUTIONWe took the work on the road, shooting across Unite locations in Edinburgh and Leeds. By grounding the project in real places and lived-in environments, the focus shifted to authentic moments rather than posed perfection.
